GWSSA Travel Grants

GWSSA Meeting Attendance	Has attended event in past 2 – 3 years.
Other Funding Sources	Requests with no other funding source will have higher priority.
Previous Grant Recipient	Not recipient of previous GWSSA grant in past 3 years.
Use of Grant	No cover for simply attending a meeting without any submission. Will consider requests for national / international meetings.
GWSSA Presentation	Recipient agrees to present at future GWSSA meeting to share learning and experience.
Postgraduate Degrees	Unable to fund individual postgraduate degree courses.
Medical Electives	Unable to fund undergraduate medical electives.

Maximum funding available in an application window: £500
Where multiple submissions have been made we may split the award into 2 (£250) or 3 (£150).
We will score each submission according to the eligibility criteria and where all criteria are equal will will prioritise applications in the following order:
- Supporting international project.
- Supporting international presentation.
- Supporting national project.
- Supporting national presentation.
In all cases above higher priority will be given to submissions with no other funding source.

Dr Anne Devine – Teaching and Clinical Support in Reconstructive Surgery and Burns Unit, Ghana.
Dr Shady Amer – Airway management in a patient with Klippel-Feil Syndrome undergoing cervical spine revision surgery, WAMM 2025.
